The Netherlands or as we call it, Holland is known for its canals, windmills, and of course, tulips. Go visit breathtaking gardens and villages and also, museums. Furthermore, there are castles to explore and also, a national park and a tide control system that has been named one of the Seven Wonders of The Modern World.

AMSTERDAM

Amsterdam is the countrys capital city. Furthermore, originating as a small fishing village in the late 12th century. Visit museums such as The Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank Museum and Van Gogh Museum. The city’s one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. It is full of charm with many attractions to see.

KEUKENHOF

Keukenhof is also called the Garden of Europe. Keukenhof website says there are approximately 7 million flower bulbs in the park. The best time to see beautiful tulips is in mid-April. The garden was established in 1949. The reason was to present flowers and hybrids and help the Dutch flower export industry.

VALKENBURG CASTLE

Valkenburg aan de Geul is home to a ruined castle called Valkenburg Castle. It is the only castle built on a hill. It is listed in the top hundred of Dutch cultural monuments. Furthermore, you can visit the spa facilities in the area and the famous Christmas Market.

DE HAAR CASTLE

Kasteel de Haar is a work of Dutch architect called P.J.H. Cuypers, founded by the Rothschild family. The castle is near the lovely city of Utrecht, the fourth largest in the Netherlands. It is certainly worth the time to explore. Inside it, you will see collections of antiques, paintings, furniture and more.
